Divya is correct in MPM+ the Actual start and Finish dates are independent to lower level records in the project  such as Milestone and Task. 

Those date fields will be automatically updated when the Status of the project changes, however neither the dates nor the Status field will change based on the Milestone or Task objects.

I see where you have also opened up a case with our support team, and I will be able to follow up with you there by email. 

Project creation not working is usually tied to the template trying to be imported. First we would recommend trying to import the template from the import template tab with real-time project creation turned on. 

This is the best way to bring any issues with importing to the front as an error message will show on the page what is blocking it from importing as expected.

If you have the custom setting turned on for Auto Milestone Completion it will change the status of a milestone from cancelled to complete when all the tasks under the Milestone have been completed.

In order to avoid this from occurring we would recommend disabling the setting.

Milestones PM+ Tasks are Detail records in a Master Detail relationship to Milestones in Salesforce, so it is not possible for a task record to exist without a Milestone.

When importing tasks from another environment the Milestones for those tasks need to be imported first, when you do so they will receive a Salesforce Id for the record in the new environment.

You must then export what the Milestone IDs from the new environment are then put them in the matching tasks on your import file manually.

Tasks share a Master-Detail relationship with Milestone, so all tasks must have a single parent Milestone.

You can add additional Lookup fields to Project on task however they will not leverage MPM+ functionality or appear on the Gantt chart.

Another setting that can impact the stage of a Task/Milestone would be: Auto Milestone/Task Completion 

 When enabled:

-If a milestone is complete, all of the tasks belonging to the milestone will be marked as complete.

-If all of the tasks belonging to a milestone are complete the milestone will be marked complete.

This can cause the stage field to change, and if you are seeing unexpected changes to the stage it would be recommended to disable this as a troubleshooting step

We do not have any currently known issues with the Task Timer, however I do see where you also opened a case with us.

From that case we will be able to reproduce this issue and investigate the root cause in order to work towards a solution.
