Can the Actual Start Date of the earliest Milestone and the Actual Finish Date of the latest Milestone automatically roll up to the associated Project record in MPM+?

Hi All, 

 

I have a requirement to populate the 

"Actual Start Date" and "Actual Finish Date" fields on the Project record based on its related Milestones in MPM+.

  • Project Actual Start Date = Earliest Actual Start Date among all related Milestones
  • Project Actual Finish Date = Latest Actual Finish Date among all related Milestones

I’ve observed that the Milestone Start Date and Due Date fields automatically roll up to the Project’s Kickoff Date and Deadline, respectively. 

 

Does MPM+ provide a native feature to roll up Actual dates from Milestones to the Project, or will I need to implement a custom solution (e.g., using Flow, Apex, or custom rollups)?

    Hello, 

     

    Divya is correct in MPM+ the Actual start and Finish dates are independent to lower level records in the project  such as Milestone and Task. 

     

    Those date fields will be automatically updated when the Status of the project changes, however neither the dates nor the Status field will change based on the Milestone or Task objects.
