The Scrum of the Force

Come all who are interested in the scrum agile software development methodology and salesforce projects. We are learning together as aspiring and current ScrumMasters, Product Owners and Team Members. Our goal is to improve our skills as agilists and in turn deliver better salesforce.com solutions.

We are struggling working with our agile partner on a more waterfall project. Does anyone have experience doing this? I have done some research and found some good ideas but wanted to know if anyone had this experience with a salesforce project? It seems like it should be easier but it isn't. I think it is mostly the documentation that is slowing us down. Thoughts?

Hi everyone,

We’ve begun looking into implementing Agile to help with our projects. We found Agile Accelerator on the AppExchange.

I found a video on how to use it but am having a hard time visualizing how to implement it on our projects.

Do you know of anyone who can help with this?

Respectfully,

 Brandon

For teams that use scrum development methodology, when is the best time to conduct UAT? Is UAT a seperate story? Does it occur during a seperate sprint? In my world, developers are responsible for writing their own test classes but UAT is often missed. How do you all incorporate UAT testing into your development process?

Sorry to be contributing a little bit late, however in my experience - Scrum teams are often very development centric, and not as user focused. This isn't necessarily bad, you would need to ensure the subsequent sprint will have BA's or QA resources working with business users during UAT. This works well, assuming the BA / QA resources aren't overloaded with this extra work in the second sprint (as they likely also have Sprint 2 tasks to do, that support the rest of the team). It's often been the pattern for the projects I've run, and has generally been successful!

Hello Salesforce BAs!  I would like your feedback.  We are doing some clean-up of fields and sections on case records in my org.  I need to conduct elicitation with business users to find out which fields and case records they use, how they use them, how they define each field/section, and whether or not we can remove things from the layout.  Fun stuff!  Do you have favorite elicitation methods for this type of task?  @Admin to Admin Academy @* Salesforce Administrators *

I'm starting a new project and we are trying to figure out the best tool for a team that works from multi locations. Some folks are completely remote while others are onsite in two locations. The product owner is also solo and remote. Suggestions?
