Our internal voice filters our thoughts through our past experiences and shapes our outlook and predictions on the future. If we have suffered from emotional trauma in the past, then our new beliefs tend to be shrouded in protective barriers and fear. This fear-based thinking can cause imbalances in our emotional, spiritual, mental and physical bodies.
Optimism is a choice. No one could have predicted we would be in quarantine from the COVID Virus six months ago. When faced with sudden, unexpected challenges, we can choose to see them through an optimistic lens. We have no real control of the future, only immediate choices and responses that shape our lives from day to day. Once we learn to create a positive and safe space for our thoughts, it's easier to sort through our present challenges and feel hopeful towards the future.
