Hi everyone,
We're having issues in our org with reorgs. They seem to happen constantly and we also get special requests to have managers see the opportunities of certain individuals who aren't their direct report in our org chart, so using something like a copy from AD is out of the question.
My question is: What's the fastest/best way to handle these reorgs? They usually take us hours at a time and Salesforce is one of many priorities since we wear multiple hats, so it's not something we can spend all our time on. If there's an easy way to handle these that'd be great.

Hii @Collin Thao
Stop mirroring the org chart. The role hierarchy should reflect data access needs, not reporting lines. That cuts reorg work a lot.
- Keep roles broad and few (by function or region), so most reorgs need no changes.
- Handle exceptions without moving roles: use public groups with owner-based sharing rules, or Opportunity Teams.
- Bulk changes: update UserRoleId on User records via Data Loader instead of drag-and-drop.
- Restructuring constantly? Look at Enterprise Territory Management.
Hope this helps! Please mark it as the best answer if it works.
