Hello Trailblazer Community,

I have set IP range in network access and in System admin profile for test automation demo. Somehow it is locked the password reset from my location. Would you please help to resolve this? I need to reset my password and use the developer edition for demo. Please help me to reset password as I am the only admin in my developer org.

For security reasons, your Salesforce administrator hasn’t approved logging in or resetting your password from the network location you used. Try logging in again by connecting to an approved network location and logging in with your existing password. If you still have issues, reset your password from that approved location.

If you didn't ask for your password to be reset, contact your Salesforce administrator.

    Hi Ramya,

If you're the only System Admin and have no other admin to fix the Login IP Ranges, you need to open a Salesforce Support case — this is exactly what Salesforce's own troubleshooting article covers for this situation.

    Steps:

    1. Go to

    https://help.salesforce.com

and start a case (log in with your Salesforce/Trailblazer credentials if you can, or use the guest case flow if login itself is fully blocked).

    2. Clearly state: sole System Administrator locked out due to Login IP Ranges on the profile, no other admin available, need the IP restriction removed or a temporary access exception.

    3. Be ready to verify your identity/org ownership — Support will confirm you're the legitimate org owner before making any change.

In the meantime, if you happen to remember the exact IP range you configured, connecting via a network/VPN that falls within it (even temporarily, e.g., a mobile hotspot or office network) would let you back in immediately without needing Support at all — worth trying that first if it's feasible.
