Agentforce access through custom component

Hi Team,

I’ve built my first agent using Salesforce Agent Builder. I understand that it follows instructions to respond to customer inquiries and can call Apex/Flow actions to interact with data, all within the standard chat console.

I’m curious if there’s an API or another method available to connect with Salesforce Agentforce through a custom chat component. Specifically, I’d like the flow to work as follows: a user inputs a query in a custom LWC -> the query is sent to Agentforce -> the agent follows instructions and calls data actions -> the agent’s response is sent back to the custom LWC.
