Insert, update record in salesforce from Android

Question

I am learning salesforce and my requirement is connect Android with Salesforce to perform CURD (Create,retrieve,update,delete) on salesforce record I am using Salesforce mobile SDK for this . I have succeeded in fetching the data but not able to perform other operations. Can you guide me with or you can share me the working sample code or resources for reference ?
