How do you spam-proof your online volunteer sign-up forms?

Can you include reCAPTCHA or something similar in your sign-up forms to keep spammers from hammering away at your website?

There is a free to use AppExchange package that provides a reCaptcha LWC. I re-implemented the volunteer signup form in Experience Cloud and was able to use this package: https://appexchange.salesforce.com/appxListingDetail?listingId=a0N3A00000FYq5vUAD
