Crystal Reports version and setup for Salesforce

Management is wanting to use Crystal Reports with Salesforce. I am very familiar with Crystal Reports but not as much with Salesforce. I am having trouble determining what version of Crystal Reports to purchase, such as the server version, or install. I am also having trouble determining how Crystal Reports connects to Salesforce. What they are wanting to do is allow admin users to create reports and have them available within Salesforce to other users. Any help is greatly appreciated, I need to get CR purchased by 5/31 if needed.

 

If not, is there another good solution for what they are wanting?

    Thanks Ed. I have reviewed that conversation. I am looking for a different kind of information. I spoke with SAP this morning and I believe I have my answer but will be getting with management.
