#Salesforce Outlook Integration0 人がディスカッション中

Hi Everyone,

Let me start with our issue:

After sometime building a reliance using the Salesforce to Outlook calendar sync it appears that the standard program will no longer work. Issue is:

1) Our MS Account is controlled on the corporate level and uses a different email, alias, address than out Salesforce email.

2) Modifying the MS email is not possible due to a change in the corporate username format.

3) Being only a small company within a large organization we would not have the pull to build a connector or ask for org level changes.

My question,

1) Has anyone out there had this issue? If so, were you ably to work around it by:

     a) Maybe a 3rd party?

     b) Some coded solution?

     or....

Thank you for any feedback.

Steve

Hi, blazers

I need to synchronize my Outlook calendar with Salesforce. I need my existing calendar events to be registered in my Salesforce calendar. Is this feature currently available?

If so, please let me know how.

When user log emails from outlook to salesforce, in the side panel, and under People section, there is option to select salesforce user record. Where can i find that logged email on salesforce ? I did search under the user account, but didn't see any new created activity or logged email.

Note : Enhanced Email is turned on.

Log email to salesforce user

Thanks.

Hi,

I received a ticket where the user wanted to log an email. However, the AddIn does not respond to a click on "Edit" in the "Log Email" section. Issue with Outlook AddInI have tried the following things so far:

  • Logout on the AddIn
  • Using the new Outlook
  • Using OWA
  • Delete cookies and all website data (F12)
  • Deleting the user in the Salesforce settings

The problem is that I can't reproduce this as it works for me. For those who use it the least (like admins) it always works the best :D

I hope you can help me solve the problem.

Thank you

I have integrate the outlook with salesforce via salesforce Lightning Sync. Now events/activity are sync from outlook to salesforce and salesforce to outlook, but  for some event it does not show me the related contact name in salesforce however the attendees are present in outlook.

Make sure you have that field mapped. if you still run into this issue it may be worth creating a flow that populates that field after the task/event is created.

Has anyone had this issue before? My addresses are changing through some auto process or trigger. It's also using one of my user's accounts and she did not do any of this, nor was she on salesforce at this time of day. It's also using other accounts in other scenarios. From what I can find, I have turned off all processes that involve address updates.

I have spent a long time trying to figure this out. Salesforce Support says it is past their scope because we use other integrations that could be causing the issue.

From observation, it appears that the entire address is being mapped into the mailing street. Then another auto process is trying to fix it, then it's triggering the first process again.

Here is one specific contact example:SOLVED: Address Auto Update IssueScreenshot 2024-01-24 at 10.18.10 AM.png

Here is another example that is similar but different. I have cleared this person's address to blank at least 5 times because she no longer lives here and we do not have her new address. It's like the address is being stored somewhere else and then the automated process is feeding it back in somehow? I have tried clearing from the contact level, the household level, and even completely deleting the related address in the contact. Still every time it is coming back.

I just set-up Outlook integration on my desktop version of Outlook. It is not showing me an option to add new contacts when logging an email or anywhere in the pane. Is there a setting that could be preventing this?

Issues with new Salesforce Outlook Integration

Looking to replace old Salesforce for Outlook with the new Salesforce Outlook Integration.

I have activated in a Sandbox and have the feature working in both Outlook365 Web and Outlook Desktop client.

However I have seen some issues with the app such that I'm not 100% certain this is the way we should go.

  1. If you are creating a new email and select to Add to Salesforce on Send there is no option to include attachments.  This is only available if you add an existing email (Sent folder for example) after you have sent it.
  2. If you edit opportunity from the app and update the stage the opportunity's probability is not updated to match the new stage!  This is a pretty big issue for us as users assume probability gets updated when they change the stage.
  3. Can only "pin" the salesforce side-panel with outlook365 web app but not with outlook client?  This will be very frustrating for Outlook desktop users having to click the salesforce cloud icon with each email!!

If anyone has also experienced above limitations or other issues when deploying the new app love to hear from you!   Also if anyone has suggested workaround or solutions to the above please do let me know.

Is this what you mean @Shirley Lafuente

Is this what you mean Once you have the side panel open in Outlook, you click on the pin at the top right hand side of the screen.

Once you have the side panel open in Outlook, you click on the pin at the top right hand side of the screen. The pin shows as upright once you've clicked on it to pin it - as above.

We have enabled MFA by allocating the permission "Multi-Factor Authentication for User Interface Logins" via a Permission set. We have Salesforce for Outlook and Inbox licences. Whenever a user clicks on an email, the Salesforce for Outlook add-in continues to request the user to "Verify their Identity". Therefore a user currently needs to verify their identity every time they click on a different email! How do we stop the Outlook add-in from requesting a verification code everytime a user clicks on a different email? Surely we can have this prompting only once every 30 days etc... Thanks!

I have a client that has 2 exchange servers (commercial and government).  They would like to integrate both servers with a single Salesforce Org.  Can Outlook Integration support this setup? Or would this require a 3rd party app?
