Hi all, 

I am working with my colleagues to start a new school in the greater Boston area. It's a high school, and we're looking to start strong with Education Cloud. Because the school is brand new, we don't have the funding to hire one of Salesforce's implementation partners so we're looking to contract hire an individual or very small firm to help us get started. Those of us on the team are familiar with Education Cloud from the user side, but not the set up. Any recommendations would be helpful. Many thank!

Salesforce’s Research & Insights team is looking to speak to staff at higher education institutions who are involved in student record management. We’re interested in understanding how higher education institutions process a student’s enrollment in the system from term-to-term, how the student record is updated each term, and how a student is deemed in good standing.

Hi everyone,   I am writing to this group, and I would like to get a better sense around what other schools/universities are using around Applications/Registrations forms and SIS?

• Are you using the Salesforce native tool HEDA (with addition of Admissions connect, Alumni, Student Experience etc) ? 
• Are you using any other tools (ie. no Salesforce), and building your Admissions process and Payment processors as integrations into Salesforce? (and customised Salesforce to handle your processes)?

Any intel or additional info would be really appreciated!

Hi my @New England Higher Education Group freinds. Waht do you do when you experience excessive record lock issues in your org. When I say excessive I mean say 400-500 per day. 

We have been experiecneing this in our prod org for a few weeks now.

SF has provided some help but ultimatley we dont want any errors, none is whats acceptible to us.

We have look at runiing integraiton jobs less, looks at optimizing our querys and diffing logic, batch size, you name it, we have looked at it and done it. We do rely upon some manage pkgs, like five9 and Rollup Helper, these are some culprits adding seconds to each processing record, but only so much you cna do with maange pkgs and gettign the vendor to change things.

LOVE to know your thoughts on this and how often you rund jobs in your orgs like bio demo updates from your SIS to SF for example.
