A “Click-and-Buy” Experience for Non-Traditional Programs - Salesforce for Admissions: Webinar 5

Sorry for the repost.  I inadvertently misread the description of a particular group to think it was welcoming to all contributors in higher education, but apparently it is not.  I notice that the original post has been deleted, thus the duplicate.  Apologies to all.

When it comes to non-traditional programs, many admissions software systems cannot support an intuitive end-user experience for prospective students. Colleges and universities want a “click-and-buy” experience for students to register and pay for non-traditional courses easily.

In part 5 of the Reaching New Heights on Salesforce for Admissions webinar series, Enrollment Rx demonstrates how higher education administrators can leverage Salesforce’s Experience Cloud with FormBuilder Rx to support an online shopping experience for course selection in non-traditional programs while using Salesforce for admissions.

The agenda of the webinar includes:

Non-Traditional Applicant Experience (Browse First, Authenticate Later)

Cart Builder

Payment Builder

Template Builder

When using Salesforce for admissions, what are the typical challenges that need to be accounted for in non-traditional enrollment management? Enrollment Rx explains that non-traditional program administrators often want the candidate experience to begin with browsing a course catalog, followed by a selection and checkout process. Candidates may need to register for multiple courses, each with different requirements and fees. The system should be able to recognize users and provide a personalized “shopping” experience, even before they provide their personal information.

With FormBuilder Rx, universities and colleges can deliver a rich, dynamic course selection and registration process for non-traditional programs that meet the expectations of a modern user experience.

With Cart Builder, colleges and universities can easily configure any appropriate data model and architecture they should utilize for online sales in the shopping cart. Any Salesforce object can be identified as a potential product to be selected and sold at checkout.

Payment Builder delivers out-of-the-box integration with several payment gateway providers, including  TouchNet, Nelnet, CashNet, ACI, PayPal/Payflow Pro, Authorize.net, Stripe, and Moneris. Additionally, FormBuilder Rx can typically support integration with other payment gateway providers that support API integration.

Template Builder provides powerful functionality to control the style and branding of any particular user experience. FormBuilder Rx includes five out-of-the-box templates with easily configurable controls to modify the elements of a form to fit each client's specific needs. Colleges and universities can also build templates with convenient containers to insert their own HTML if preferable.

Managing Deferred Applicants on Salesforce with Enrollment Rx

It is not uncommon in admissions management for an applicant to decide to defer their enrollment to a future term or different program. In such an occurrence, how does Enrollment Rx treat any existing application data and information, while preserving the integrity of the enrollment analytics for the previous application?  In other words, how do we empower higher ed to leverage Salesforce for Admissions to create a new application record for the new term, and appropriately duplicate any previously provided data and documents, while still maintaining the integrity of information regarding the enrollment funnel of the previous term?

ERX Core solves this challenge by providing our proprietary Super Clone functionality. With Super Clone, colleges and universities can define the rules that copy application records for deferred applicants, as well as copy any related records, such as admission documents, transcripts, and letters of recommendation.  In Salesforce platform speak, this functionality allows Enrollment Rx clients to define the logic for copying both child and grandchild object records, which is necessary if a college or university wants to use Salesforce for Admissions to manage deferred applications.

With Super Clone, admission staff can accommodate deferred applicants by copying application data into new records, as well as defining which previously provided related items should also be included in the new application records.  Importantly, all previous application records can still be maintained in the system so as to preserve the integrity of enrollment reporting analytics.

In this video, Matt Palmer, Director of Client Services at Enrollment Rx, explains how the company’s proprietary Super Clone feature empowers colleges and universities to successfully use Salesforce to manage deferred applicants in Admissions.

Using Salesforce Campaigns for Events

Custom Events with Itineraries

Composable Solution

What is Events Rx?

When using Salesforce for Admissions and Recruitment, how can colleges and universities affordably and practically use the platform to empower the event coordinators, recruiters, and admissions personnel? Events Rx is a powerful tool designed to supplement Salesforce and provide the functionality that higher education needs in Salesforce in order to effectively use the platform for event management. Events Rx empowers the easy creation of online event listing and calendar interfaces, powerful event registration forms, extensive automations, and even a single-source-of-truth (SSOT) calendar experience for appointment management.

Using Salesforce Campaigns for Events:

With Events Rx, Salesforce organizations can easily create campaigns which can be published to event listing and calendar pages, as well as create associated registration pages. Salesforce administrators can choose to use the standard Salesforce campaign object while taking advantage of the full capabilities of Events Rx.

Custom Events with Itineraries:

In recruitment and admissions in higher education, it is sometimes necessary to support events that also contain accompanying itineraries. Common examples include campus visits, where a prospective student may also be able to sign up for multiple activities while on site, such as campus tour, financial aid meeting, eat-lunch-with-a-student, etc. Events Rx supports custom events with related itinerary items.

Composable Solution:

As always, Enrollment Rx has designed Events Rx to be extremely configurable and empowering for operational administrators. Events Rx does not require an engineering background in order to operate and extends tremendous efficiencies directly to the recruitment and admissions teams responsible for event coordination.
