We created a new email-to-case configuration and new organization-wide email address in a sandbox. The configuration was done by our Release Management user (which doesn't have the System Administrator profile).    End users received their respective verification emails but were unable to complete the verification process. They clicked on the link in the email which opened up a browser window with the Verify Email Address button. After clicking on the Verify Email Address button, the browser screen appeared to be refreshing or reloading for several minutes and never displayed a confirmation message. We confirmed the verifications were still pending in setup.    We worked with multiple users and retriggered the verifications multiple times (ensuring that links in the email were only clicked on once) but the only way we could get a successful verification was if the person retriggering the verification and clicking on the link in the email had the System Administrator profile.    I submitted a Salesforce Support case to inquire if there was a process change. The resolution indicated that there might be an issue with a Summer '26 patch and timing of user verification of email addresses on their own user record in our sandboxes. We did some light experimentation in other sandboxes but still couldn't get the verifications completed without a System Administrator. Given the resolution we had been provided, it seemed that we shouldn't encounter the issue in production so we moved forward and created the email-to-case and organization-wide email address in production.    Unfortunately, we had the same issue in production so someone with the System Administrator profile both retriggered the verification emails and clicked on the verification link in those emails.

Has anyone else encountered this behavior?    TL;DR, someone with the System Administrator profile had to trigger the verification email AND click on the verification link in that email in order to successfully verify new email-to-case and organization-wide email addresses.

Thanks for sharing this experience. We have observed similar behavior in sandbox environments where email address verification appears to remain pending unless the process is completed by a user with System Administrator permissions. Given the information from Salesforce Support, this may be related to a platform issue rather than a configuration problem. It would be helpful to know if others have seen the same behavior in Summer '26 sandboxes or if it has been resolved in production environments.

I noticed that the activity timeline in my case object only shows outbound emails, and inbound emails are missing. Could someone please advise how to display inbound emails too?

Hey Sangeeth, Are you associating the email to record? Or using EAC or other feature?

when case stage is update to in progress, would liek to fire a text message as an email alert if possible.  we have better communication with texting versus emailing most of the time.

We are doing some trials with Claude Cowork on our support team, their mailboxes and service documentation.

Anyone done anything good to integrate Claude Cowork into Salesforce case management. Would be interesting to get ideas on what can be done. Case creation, case updation etc.

    Hi Joakim,

One use case I can think of is having Claude summarize long email threads or case histories and automatically generate a concise case summary for agents. That alone could save a significant amount of time.

It could also assist with drafting case responses, suggesting knowledge articles, or generating recommended next steps based on similar resolved cases.

For case creation and updates, I'd see Claude working best as a copilot that proposes values or summaries, while Salesforce Flows or Apex handle the actual record creation and field updates to maintain governance and auditability.

I'd be interested to hear how others are integrating external AI assistants alongside Salesforce's native Agentforce capabilities.

Can you confirm the access to omni channel features, service cloud objects, service cloud license? Make sure all are available.

Hello everyone,

We are currently using MIAW (Messaging for In-App and Web) in Service Cloud.

Recently, we’ve been facing an issue where Salesforce freezes when a user tries to change their Omni-Channel status to "Online" via the button in the bottom-left corner right after logging in.

Restarting the browser temporarily fixes the issue and allows them to go online. However, the next day, the same freezing issue occurs again. This pattern has been happening consistently for the past few weeks.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue, or does anyone know a solution or workaround for this?

Thank you in advance for your help!

    @Vishal Verma

    Thank you for your advice!

I have already tried the first three steps. We share the HAR files with our internal IT team whenever the issue occurs, but they haven't identified the root cause yet. I will consult them about "Temporarily disabling Secure and Persistent Browser Caching" next.

I have attached a screenshot of the error, which reads: "There's an issue connecting to Omni-Channel. Hang tight, we're trying to reconnect."

When going online, the screen freezes here, but another device shows the user is actually logged in. As a daily workaround, restarting the browser restores the connection. This happens randomly every day and does not affect everyone.

I’m currently working through a training class now, and I’m setting up Email-to-Case. I was able to turn it on, but while trying to connect an email, it keeps saying that “no case was created with this email address.” However, I am looking at the email that I received now. I also followed the link in the email to confirm forwarding. Thank you in advance!

This usually happens when Email-to-Case routing is not fully configured or the email isn’t reaching Salesforce properly.

    Please check:

    • Ensure Email-to-Case is enabled and the routing address is verified
    • Use the exact generated Email-to-Case address (not your personal email)
    • Confirm the email is being sent from an external inbox and not blocked by spam filters
    • Check if a Case Assignment Rule or Auto-Response Rule is interfering
    • Verify Cases are not being created under a different queue or user

Also, note that “no case was created” usually means Salesforce never received the email, so recheck the forwarding/setup email configuration carefully.

We are creating a new profile for some users in another region and i would like them to see records that relate to their region only

I have created  a sharing rule  when OWD (case) is private

How do i remove members of a public group from a list views in the case object?

However, these users are still able to see the list view they are not members of.

What am I missing please?

, To ensure restriction I went to the Profile of users that need restricting and unchecked 'view all  and modify all' . Once I refreshed the Sharing settings worked as expected.

    Thank you again

Hi Team,

I am facing an issue with the Case Auto-Response Rule configuration.

I have created a Case Auto-Response Rule, added a custom email template, and configured the required criteria. However, when a case is created and the auto-response email is sent, I receive the standard auto-response email instead of the custom email template that I selected in the rule entry.

Could you please help me understand why the custom template is not being used and what I should check to resolve this issue?

Thank you.

    @mohit salesforce

, Since you were creating the case manually was the following the root cause?:

I am going to assume you checked "Send notification email to contact" instead of letting the rule fire

When creating or editing a case manually, there is a checkbox at the bottom of the page layout that says "Send notification email to contact".

The Trap: Checking this box bypasses your Auto-Response Rules entirely. Instead, it triggers the basic, system-wide notification template defined in your Support Settings.

The Fix: Uncheck this box. To make the Auto-Response Rules run for manual creation, you must look for the checkbox labeled "Assign using active assignment rule" (if available) or rely strictly on the channel logic.

If I am correct, can you please mark this as best answer or most helpful for others that might run into the same problem?

Thank you in advance. Be well - Katende

We're trying to track the number of emails that we're sending during the case journey. These emails are getting triggered by flows. For instance, if a case gets moved into a particular status, an email is sent to the client requesting additional information. We would like to track the number of emails that are getting sent by the type of email. Is there a way to track these? I tried the built in HTML email report but didn't work. Thoughts?

    @Janet Siggers Foster

Yes, this is possible, but not really through the standard email reports alone.

Since the emails are being sent via Flow, a common approach is to log each send event in a custom object or EmailMessage tracking setup.

You can populate fields like email type, case status, and timestamp at the same time the Flow sends the email, and then report on that object.

If you don’t want custom logging, another option is using Enhanced Email reporting, but it’s usually not enough for “by email type” level tracking in journey-based flows.

So in most cases, teams go with a simple Flow-based logging approach for accurate reporting.

    Hope it works!
