What options are available that meet the MFA requirement for an experience site?

The passkey experience seems overwhelming for use. What else satisfies this requirement without enabling the

    You mention internal experience stie, is the same applied to an external experience site? @Sandip Patel

Does anyone have advice or know if there is a need for Salesforce add-ons for CDN or caching to support higher traffic volumes in a member portal with 1.5M members?  This customer uses Teamsite and Livesite for Content Management System today.

    @Patricia Cameron you don't need a separate CDN product for the Experience Cloud site. Salesforce CDN is already a setting on the site. Turn that on for the public pages and the static files.

    It will not carry 1.5 million logged-in members. Authenticated pages are built for that user, so the CDN mostly serves guests, images, and files. The org still renders the member session.

    Headcount on the member list is not the load. Concurrent sessions and page views are. I would not turn 1.5 million names into a license guess.

    TeamSite and LiveSite stay outside that CDN. If the content is still served from there, cache it on that side. Salesforce CDN only fronts the Experience Cloud domain.

    If most of the portal is login-only, the win is fewer queries per page, not another cache SKU. I don't know of an add-on that changes how authenticated pages are cached. A new build can use LWR, which handles the public pages better than Aura, but it does not cache a logged-in member page as if it were static.

Kushagra Rajput ha preguntado en #AWS

Basically I need to build a Bulk email functionality. Need to send a single message to multiple emails through AWS ses. But completely clueless from where to begin and how to achieve this.

Is there anyone who has done it or know a little about it. do help me out.

Any help would be appreciated.

Progress so far:-

I've found this documentation. I thik this is something i need to follow.

https://docs.aws.amazon.com/ses/latest/APIReference-V2/API_SendBulkEmail.html

And most probably I need to write batch apex so how can I handle it through batch that also I would like to know from the community. Thanks.

    Hi @Kushagra Rajput,

    Your direction is right. Here is a simple way to build it.

    1. Set up AWS SES first

    • Verify your sender email or domain in SES.
    • If your SES account is in sandbox mode, you can only send to verified emails, so request production access.
    • Create an email template in SES. SendBulkEmail needs a template, even for a simple message.

    2. Authentication from Salesforce

    Use a

    Named Credential with an External Credential of type AWS Signature Version 4. It signs the request for you, so you do not need to write the signing code in Apex.

    3. The API call

    Send a POST request to /v2/email/outbound-bulk-emails (SES v2). One call accepts

    up to 50 destinations, so split your email list into groups of 50.

    4. Use Batch Apex

    • Implement Database.Batchable<SObject> and Database.AllowsCallouts. Without AllowsCallouts, the callout fails.
    • Run it with a scope of 50, so each execute makes one SES call.

    apex

    public class BulkEmailBatch implements Database.Batchable<SObject>, Database.AllowsCallouts {

    public Database.QueryLocator start(Database.BatchableContext bc) {

    return Database.getQueryLocator('SELECT Email FROM Contact WHERE Email != null');

    }

    public void execute(Database.BatchableContext bc, List<Contact> scope) {

    List<Object> entries = new List<Object>();

    for (Contact c : scope) {

    entries.add(new Map<String, Object>{

    'Destination' => new Map<String, Object>{ 'ToAddresses' => new List<String>{ c.Email } }

    });

    }

    Map<String, Object> body = new Map<String, Object>{

    'FromEmailAddress' => 'sender@yourdomain.com',

    'DefaultContent' => new Map<String, Object>{

    'Template' => new Map<String, Object>{ 'TemplateName' => 'YourTemplate', 'TemplateData' => '{}' }

    },

    'BulkEmailEntries' => entries

    };

    HttpRequest req = new HttpRequest();

    req.setEndpoint('callout:AWS_SES/v2/email/outbound-bulk-emails');

    req.setMethod('POST');

    req.setHeader('Content-Type', 'application/json');

    req.setBody(JSON.serialize(body));

    HttpResponse res = new Http().send(req);

    // check res.getStatusCode() and log failures

    }

    public void finish(Database.BatchableContext bc) {}

    }

    Run it with Database.executeBatch(new BulkEmailBatch(), 50);

    5. Things to remember

    • Check the response for each entry (the API returns a status per email), and log failures.
    • Respect your SES sending rate limit.
    • Handle bounces and unsubscribes (SES configuration sets with SNS can help).

    Hope this helps. Share where you get stuck and I can help further.

We have uploaded one excel file in my sandbox and want it to be downloadable by community users. We are using Customer Community license and have a custom profile for our community. I have a LWC on one of my community pages and I am trying to query the Id of the ContentDocument record for that file. The file is located in Asset folder. Below is the link that I am generating in my JS based on the Content Document Id.

this.templateFileURL = `/sfc/servlet.shepherd/document/download/${idOfDocument}`;

I am using the url generated above in the 'href' attribute of 'a' tag in html. Whenever I am trying to download the file by logging in as a community user, I get the below message.

top.location='https://my-org-instance.sandbox.my.site.com/ex/errorduringprocessing.jsp'

I am not able to figure out what this error means and the strange thing is while querying for the ContentDocument in my apex, if I am using Title of the document in my WHERE clause then no document is found and if I query based on Id of the document then I can see the document being found but I end up getting the above error in community. This is very confusing because if the file is not accessible to community user because of any missing permissions, then it should not be found even when using Id in my query?

Also, I am not able to share the file with the community user in Share option on the file as the list doesn't show community user when I search for it. I have checked for all the permissions that I could find and I am not able to figure out the issue here. Can someone please tell if they know the work-around here & what is the exact way to query for content document also as I can not query it based on Id? Any help is much appreciated.

    Hello,

    I would suggest storing this as a static resource which would make accessing the file easier when accessing via a Experience Cloud Site

0/9000

  sendResetEmail({ username: this.username.trim() })

            .then(() => {

                this.isLoading      = false;

                this.submitted      = true;

                this.successMessage = 'If an account exists for that username, a reset link has been sent to the associated email.';

                this[NavigationMixin.Navigate]({

                    type       : NAV_TYPE.WEB,

                    attributes : { url: PAGE.CHECK_PASSWORD.url }

                });

            })

            .catch(() => {

                this.isLoading    = false;

                this.errorMessage = 'Something went wrong. Please try again later.';

            });

    @AuraEnabled

    public static void sendResetEmail(String username) {

        Boolean result = Site.forgotPassword(username);

        if (!result) {

            AuraHandledException ex = new AuraHandledException('DIAGNOSTIC: Site.forgotPassword returned false for username: ' + username);

            ex.setMessage('DIAGNOSTIC: Site.forgotPassword returned false for username: ' + username);

            throw ex;

        }

    }

}

And from documentation It is mention if u are ousing other VF page it will return false.Buit i am not receiving any amail. How to fix it

    For a chatbot interface, I would keep the first screen very simple. Give users a few clear options and an obvious place to type their question. A visible route to human support is important too. Then test the interface with ordinary users. Their confusion will quickly reveal what needs changing.

I need to deploy the head markup for an experience cloud site using Aura framework. I deployed Experience Bundle using Copado but that didn't move the changes. Can you tell which metadata needs to be deployed for the head markup to be moved between environments?

Trying to save one email for multiple policies, but noticed that this doesn't work perhaps overlooking a step.

Select an email

Select SF app

Save on one policy

Try logging same email on another policy

Notice on the policy this is not saved

Can you please check?

Salesforce email can't be saved multiple times?

    Hi @Vishal Verma

    Hi --->>>how will the Trigger know which other policies the message should link to. But it hints to a solution.

    --->>>

    how will the Trigger know which other policies the message should link to. But it hints to a solution.

    Maybe if the conversation is still open with Support, then also ask them if it is possible to control this from the Salesforce Outlook Add-In which you are currently using. Is there a way to specify more policies (or other entities) to upload the email to?

    Could you please Guide me on this ?

I have a problem that when I log into the community page as a community user profile I can't see my user profile image, even i can't select one or change it. In the builder the image appears and if I log as an admin I can see the image.

Can't see user profile image when I log in the community page as a user

    Control User Visibility in Your Experience Cloud Site (p. 240-241 in Experience Cloud documentation) link

     Change your org’s settings to control your Experience Cloud site’s user visibility for authenticated members and guest users.

     1. From Setup, enter Sharing Settings in the Quick Find box, then select Sharing Settings.

    2. Click Edit in the Organization-Wide Defaults area.

     3. Enable Portal User Visibility or Site User Visibility based on your org’s needs. 4. Click Save.

    Note: To view record names in lookup fields and system fields, such as Created By and Last Modified By, select the Require permission to view record Names in lookup fields checkbox. Then enable the View All Lookup Record Name permission in custom profiles or permission sets for users who must see record names in all lookup and system fields, regardless of sharing settings. You can manage user visibility and guest user visibility on a site-by-site basis. 1. From Setup, enter Digital Experiences in the Quick Find box, then select Digital Experiences > All Sites. 2. Click Workspaces for the site you’d like to access. 3. Click Administration > Preferences. 240 Set Up and Manage Experience Cloud Sites Control Which Users Experience Cloud Site Users Can See 4. Select the See other members of this site or Let guest users see other members of this site checkboxes based on your site’s needs. 5. Click Save.

     Note: To see user profile photos for other users in your site, select the See other members of this site or Let guest users see other members of this site checkboxes. User profile photos display in feeds by default.

I'm looking for a way to allow internal Users to easily send a password reset email to Community Users. There are standard Buttons/Actions to enable a Community User or log in as a Community User that can be accessed on a Contact's record. I'd like to have a similar option for sending a password reset email. Any tips?

Right now, internal Users have instructions for sending that email through Setup, but I'd like to simplify that process and remove the ability for them to access Setup.

Thanks!
