With our latest release, you can now generate Excel (.xlsx) files directly from Salesforce—making it easier to automate spreadsheet creation without leaving your Salesforce environment. 

You can now generate formatted Excel (.xlsx) files directly from Salesforce and automate the process using Flow or Apex, making it easier to create reports, invoices, and other business documents.

We'd love to hear how you would use Excel generation in your Salesforce workflows. Feedback and suggestions are always welcome. 

Working with a client who wants to set the thank you letter on the gift itself, and then dynamically generate the right document when running a document generation batch.  

Has anyone worked with the document generation processes on something like this before? Do custom batch jobs require both Apex and OmniStudio? Has anyone been able to create a custom solution in Flow?

I’m building a native Salesforce document generation solution (AppExchange-focused) with a drag-and-drop builder and pluggable external data connectors. The idea is to simplify multi-system document generation without relying on heavy external rendering engines.

For those building managed packages:

• How are you currently handling document generation inside your apps?
• Do you embed existing DocGen tools or build custom solutions?
• What gaps do you see in today’s offerings?

I’d really value input from fellow ISVs and am happy to exchange insights or do a quick walkthrough. 

Can anyone share how to generate document ny flow in Omnistudio standard core. We are not using Omnistudio installed package.

My organization is currently using Conga Composer to generate our acknowledgement letters. We're looking for alternative apps that will automate document generation as well as merge data from anywhere into any template and populate documents with data from any system of record while sending and saving as needed. Please let me know if you have any recommendations and your experience with them! Thank you so much!

I can't for the life of me figure this out. In the recent Summer 24 release of Nonprofit Cloud, we have the ability to generate gift receipts and acknowledgements out of the box. The steps to use are outlined in this help doc: https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sfdo.NPC_FR_Gift_Acknowledgments_and_Tax_Receipts.htm&type=5

However...I'd added the Generate Document button to my account pages and it doesn't show up no matter what I do. I'm a system admin and have all Fundraising, DocGen, and Omnistudio permission sets assigned to myself. Has anyone been seeing this same issue or have any guidance?

Has anyone tried adding custom LWC onto the document builder ?

I tried to do so, somehow my component doesn't show up in the builder to drag and drop. I have tried all the targets in the meta xml file.

Any help is appreciable.

In the Account object, there is one button. Once we click on that one the document is generated in Word format now I looking to update the logo.
