Can someone suggest the best step by step method to integrate Zoom with Marketing Cloud.

Like bring in registrant, attendee and Webinar details to Marketing Cloud from Zoom Webinars.

The approaches mentioned above (API + Automation Studio, webhooks, or middleware) are all valid. 👍 I'd just add a few considerations based on webinar setups I've seen over time.

If Zoom is already a fixed requirement, I'd like @EDGAR Joes suggests, lean towards webhooks or scheduled API syncs over relying heavily on middleware logic/third party apps like Zapier. Keeping Marketing Cloud responsible for segmentation and journeys, while treating the webinar software as the source of engagement data, tends to be easier to maintain.

If you're still evaluating the webinar platform itself, it's also worth looking at solutions with native Salesforce integrations (for example Univid) that can pass registrations, attendance, watch time and other engagement signals directly into the Salesforce ecosystem, instead of building/maintaining the integration yourself. That can reduce the amount of custom integration work over time, as things update and change.

Curious what approach you ended up taking.

For  marketers, it’s important to know where your contacts are clicking once your message hits their inbox. If you aren’t coding it correctly, you may not find statistics of who’s clicking on the text link vs. the corresponding image. For this we use Alias tags. Use unique alias names to tag each asset.

See the example snippet below. This will allow the tracking to differentiate the point of click for your tracking needs.

This email is being sent to our subscribers sparatically over the last few weeks. I've tried looking for help in salesforce and mailchimp with no luck.  I'm not a paying mailchimp customer so there's no "live person" to talk to. But I am a premier customer with salesforce. I placed a ticket and they said they were unable to help me. Someone on here must have come across this and know how to fix it? I appreciate your help.

The email context below with subject title: "MailChimp API is Unavailable"

Oops! It looks like the MailChimp API is unavailable for an unknown reason. Please check with MailChimp Support and try again later.

I'm getting over 800 Emails within an hour about this issue, but then it stops. It's been happening twice now. Any idea what would cause that many triggers within an hour?

Subscriber Key Mapping: When creating a Sendable Data Extension, you must define which field relates to the Subscribers > Subscriber Key. If you accidentally map a field that doesn't exist in All Subscribers, or if you fail to set this relationship at all, the "send" will find 0 valid targets and effectively fail to deploy.

    Correct answer is C - '

    Incorrect Sending Relationship.'

Hi,

My users are looking at the Engagement History of Contacts in Salesforce (derived from Pardot) and notified me of the "List: Prospect removed from list" notion in the history.

I cannot seem to find out what it means and whether or not the Contact (Prospect) has actually received this email. When checking the Email Report it seems like the Prospect received the email, but I don't understand why he has been removed from the "List" and which List they are referring to. When I check the dynamic pardot list that is used as recipient list of the Engagement Camapign, the Prospect is still on there. Who can help me out?

Kind regards,

Jurgen

That's because after sending email, the prospect is no longer met with conditions of dynamic list or the prospect is no longer on the list at the time the email was sent.

Hi, I'm REALLY struggling to populate our personalised emails with Dynamic Content that's triggered by Assigned User information.

All I need to achieve is a profile photo to show based on who's sending the email (assigned user), but there's no option in the Variations dropdown... no assigned user, no lead owner, no account contact, etc...

I'm using Pardot and syncing with Salesforce to send on behalf of 9 sales people, so I simply cannot create a template for each of them each time we send emails.

So we don't have Marketing Cloud, and we typically use HubSpot for marketing campaigns. However, our sales team likes to send mass emails via Salesforce to their book of business, and those emails do not contain an unsubscribe link. I feel like it's a weird grey area, and there is a lot of discourse in the office as to whether or not the link is needed. I would think mass email sends would need the link no matter what. Does anyone else have this issue? Are you guys creating restrictions for your teams in this instance to only send mass emails through your marketing platform and then non-commercial/ 1-to-1 emails only through Salesforce? I am at a loss at this point trying to figure out what is the best practice.

@Christina Garcia It is a recommended and safe practice to include the unsubscribe link in the email if it a bulk send, to avoid negative impact on deliverability or sender reputation. As a rule of thumb - any email that is not transactional in nature should contain an "unsubscribe" link.

Hello,  I would like to send a mailing with a personnalised signature but i can't. I don't have the option available in the dynamic fields and when i try to go to "dynaic content" the "new variation" option is grey and not available.  Do you have any idea of what i could do?    A second problem i would encounter is the email the mail would be sent from... How could i automatically assign the contact owner with the email ?

This usually happens when the contact owner fields or sender profile aren't exposed in the email configuration or template type. We've seen similar cases where personalization works once the owner fields and dynamic sender setup are correctly configured.

If you want, happy to share how we solved this in a few environments — feel free to reach out.

Just took over Pardot at my org. We have a "lead source" field in Pardot that supposedly should populate once a visitor fills out a form on our site. The lead source field is a picklist with values like inbound - linkedIn. However, I have found that most of the lead source is the populated "sales-prospected" lead source, which is incorrect. Salesforce sync is therefore incorrect as well.

Can someone tell me how to fix this? I feel like there should be a mapping somewhere that allows me to pick from a list of lead source values from Pardot and map it in our Salesforce "lead source" picklist.

We used to have a similar setup (picklist lead source field in Salesforce, populated by our marketing automation tool) and found it was pretty much useless when it came to actually running reports and understanding where our leads were coming from.

The problem with a single "Lead Source" picklist is that it tries to do too many things at once. Is "Inbound - LinkedIn" referring to someone who came from a LinkedIn ad? An organic LinkedIn post? And what about the context of how they converted, or what page they landed on?

We ended up switching to a three-field setup that gave us way more insight:

The first set of fields we called "Lead Source" and "Lead Source Detail", and they captured information about how the person became a lead. So if someone filled out a Get a Quote form, it would be something like Lead Source = Web, Lead Source Detail = Get a Quote. If they downloaded an eBook, it would be Lead Source = Content, Lead Source Detail = Name of the eBook. We populated these using Pardot completion actions or automation rules based on which form was submitted.

The second set of fields were what we called the Channel fields (Channel, Channel Drilldown 1, Channel Drilldown 2, Channel Drilldown 3). These captured where the person came from, so they'd be populated with values like Organic Search, Paid Search, Paid Social, etc. along with further detail like the campaign name, ad group, keyword, etc. These were populated by a tool called Attributer. It tracked where people came from when they first landed on the site, stored it in a cookie, and then passed it through with each form submission.

The third set of fields were Landing Page and Landing Page Group. These tracked the first page the visitor landed on. So it might be something like Landing Page = yoursite.com/blog/example-post

and Landing Page Group = /blog. These were also populated by Attributer and helped us understand what content on our site was actually generating leads.

With these three sets of fields together, we could look at a lead and see the full picture. Like, this person came from our Google Ads, landed on our pricing page, and requested a quote. Or this person came from Organic Search, landed on a blog post, and downloaded an eBook. Those two leads are very different, and it was really useful to be able to separate out the high-intent leads from the content leads that were probably never going to convert into customers.

    Hope this helps

    Aaron

You can use list email in SFDC to send mass email or create a scheduled flow to send mass email.
