#Quick Text0 discussing

Hi,

Quick Text Icon is not visible on my Case Object. When I click Email on an existing case, I'm unable to see quick text icon anywhere in the Service Console. But, if I do ctrl+., created quick text list is showing up and letting me to select.

I checked most of the settings for Quick Text and not sure what i am missing?

Can someone help please

I'm on Trailhead Lightning Experience.

You can use a quick text with a financial account merge field to populate account numbers in a task.

    Please try the below steps

    1. Go to Setup in Salesforce and search for "Quick Text" in the Quick Find box.
    2. Click on "Quick Text" and create a new quick text by clicking on the "New" button.
    3. Give your quick text a name and add your financial account merge field in the text area. You can use the merge field syntax of "{!Account.AccountNumber}" to insert the account number.
    4. Save your quick text.
    5. Now, create a new task and select the "Quick Text" option in the "Description" field.
    6. Select the quick text you just created from the dropdown list.
    7. The account number should now appear in the task description.

Quick Text new folder permission.

Does anyone know what controls the permission for a user to be able to create new Quick Text folders?  I can not find it documented anywhere.  I want a user to be able to create quick text but not to be able to create folders.

Some of our users wish to set up Quick Text in our lightning instance but they only need in German where the rest of our business who are not German speaking do not need access to this or see them.  Is there a way we can set up quick text for users for their local languages only?

Ok, kind of a silly question, but I swear I have combed through multiple articles to find this, but I can't seem to get it done.

On the chrome extension for sales force, it shows quick texts for me as an admin and me only.

I have shared folders.  I have enabled quick texts.  I have played around with the page layout publisher in the Object Manager?

How do I ensure that every user has access to their quick text?  Or rather their text shortcut?

    Hi there @Shawn King

I hope you're having an awesome day.

The quick texts feature on the chrome extension will only be there for you and will remain private for your use only.

Salesforce Essentials Edition however, also has its own feature called Quick Texts as well that can be shared with everybody in your Org.

You can learn more about this in the below support article.

Set Up and Use Quick Text

I hope this helps. Have a wonderful and SAFE day.

Blog Post - How To Set Up & Use Quick Text in Salesforce

Quick Text is a great productivity feature offered by Salesforce. It can save users’ time from typing repetitive text such as greetings, answers to FAQs, etc. It can be used to standardize the messages being sent to the customer. You can define terminologies that the reps should use when communicating to customers so that they all speak the same language which in turn reflects your brand standards.

Quick Text can be used in email, chat, event, task, etc. Once enabled, you can set up separate Quick Texts for different functions by role and share with respective teams.

See how Quick Text can make your support reps’ day to day lives easy giving them more time to focus on complex issues. You can discuss with your support team which things are repetitive and time-consuming and come up with Quick Text ideas to load in your team’s Arsenal. Once you make it available to them, they can shoot them like a bullet :-)

I am trying to figure out a way for users who are creating a New Case to populate the Initial description with specific information based on the issue. Today we have Knowledge Articles that they copy and paste into the initial description then fill in the necessary answers.   We use Quick text for Email correspondent from Cases and would LOVE to have a similar solution for Users when creating the case.

Where can I find a list of my Quick Texts so I delete them or edit their actions after creation?

Hey guys, is there any secret trick to enable Settings for

It's so annoying to activate settings for these after creation of each scratch org 😞 This makes it impossible to write automated scripts creating scratch, pushing metadata, importing test data and so on.

Also it's really hard to predict the outcome of a scratch org creation. Sometime some settings are activated by default sometimes not. E.g. some days before Asset Sharing was activated by default. Then since yesterday or the day before it isn't anymore. This is really driving me crazy. Maybe it's also bound to the CLI version one uses Â¯\_(ツ)_/¯
