#Field Service Admin0 discussing

Hi All,

I want to add chatter functionality between Dispatcher and Service Resource(over mobile) irrespective/outside of Service Appointment. Is there any way to achieve this.

When checking the "Highlight Weekends" tick on the Gantt Chart, Friday and Saturday are highlighted instead of Saturday and Sunday.  I cannot find anywhere in the Field Service Admin settings to define weekends.  All of our Operating Hours records are setup properly.

Does anyone know where I can config the days that are highlighted for "Highlight Weekends"?

Thanks!

As far as I'm aware you don't have the ability to designate to only show one day out of the weekend.  You either select to show weekends or not, then the actual weekend is defined based on the day of week selected as the start of the week.

Hi All,

What are the best practices for FSL implementation in a Sandbox - Production Model. More precisely,

  1. How to extract Settings done by Field Service Admin App and deploy it to Production ?
  2. Whether we should load Skill/Timesheet templates by XML or by Data ?
  3. Any specific tools, cheat sheets available for for release management in Sandbox-Production Model ? (We need to use Git for our ssource control)

Thanks in Advance,

Hi @Puneet Mehta, Thanks a lot for this info. Can you please suggest whether we should use Prodly Moover or go with External Id creation and load the data with dataloader ?

I have a question about Global Actions > Derivations:

We are using custom fields to populate the address on our WO and subsequent SA's (fields that only certain people have access to update).  We created fields specifically for Service Street, Service City, Service State, and Service Zip Code.

We have built a custom work order creation screen that help our team members adhere to the processes we have established.

The issue is we sometimes have SA's that go unscheduled, and I am almost certain it relates to geocoding and not having a territory assigned in the split second the auto-schedule box is checked.

My question is if I update the derivations in the Field Service Admin settings for account to pull the data from my service specific address fields, I currently don't have Latitude and Longitude fields for my service fields, i am relying on the back-end processes that come with FSL to populate the geolocation data on the SA.

In the derivations currently are pulling all the data from the shipping address fields.  Will I cause issues and break anything if I leave the shipping lat/long, but update the other mappings to pull the data from my custom service fields? Is that shipping lat/long used to populate any data on the WO/SA?

I provided a screen shot to illustrate what I'm referring to.
