New Blog Post | Optimize the Performance of Your Experience Cloud Aura Site for SEO

Salesforce Experience Cloud serves as the gateway for businesses to connect with customers, partners, and employees, offering a dynamic platform for collaboration and engagement. Enabling configurable, flexible, and dynamic sites comes with a hidden challenge that can make or break your digital interactions: Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) time.

According to this article, the LCP metric “reports the render time of the largest image or text block visible within the viewport, relative to when the page first started loading”.

The impact of a slow LCP time is profound. It directly influences user engagement, conversion rates, and, ultimately, your bottom line. Slow-loading pages can drive visitors away, reduce customer satisfaction, and damage your brand’s reputation. In addition, LCP is one of the Core Web Vitals defined by Google that are used to rank search results and thereby impact your SEO performance.

Improving the LCP time of your website is key to improving your Core Web Vitals metric for SEO performance improvements, as well as user experience for your website.

This article focuses solely on LCP time primarily for Aura sites. In addition to the specific LCP improvement suggestion in this article, there are a variety of other optimization suggestions that may further improve your site’s overall performance. These include

  • Lazy loading JavaScript
  • Lazy load “below the fold” resources
  • Prioritize loading “above the fold” resources
  • Identifying render blocking resources
  • Optimizing the size of images, fonts, JavaScript files, etc.

For a deeper understanding of the above aspects of your site, consider accessing the resources here for your debugging activities…Read More

New Blog Post | Customize Your Experience Site’s Forgot Password Functionality with Headless Identity APIs

Experience Cloud sites come with out-of-the-box functionality and components for identity, such as Login, Forgot Password, and Registration. But sometimes you may need to customize these experiences for business requirements or for more control over the experience than what’s available out of the box.

In this blog post, we focus on customizing the Forgot Password functionality in a Lightning Web Runtime (LWR) Experience Cloud site using the Forgot Password Headless API.

Headless Identity APIs are an excellent tool for building customized authentication experiences for off-platform sites and external applications. Primarily these APIs aren’t intended for use with native products like Experience Cloud. However, the Forgot Password API is an exception, because you can use it to build a fully customized Forgot Password experience for an Experience Cloud site that’s quite different from what’s available out of the box.

Continue reading as we expand on the Forgot Password API and cover an example of how to customize the Forgot Password experience in an LWR site using the Headless Forgot Password API…Read More

I believe this can also be implemented for Aura sites similar to LWR. There's no timetable because Aura sites aren't going anywhere anytime soon, there are still a few valid use-cases more adequately implemented in Aura vs LWR.

@Kim Roberts So the EffectiveAccountId field is not a DB field, so its value is good for the session, but not saved anywhere on the backend to be able to base sharing off of it.

The assumption here is that any account that shows up for the user to be able to switch to, they already should have access to, otherwise it won't show up in the list of accounts in the switcher.

By that logic, one should be able to setup sharing of cases for any account that the user has access to (or by other sharing mechanisms), so the only consideration that remains is how to have a list of cases filtered by that effectiveAccountId, which can be done with a custom component.

Implementing reCAPTCHA in Community Cloud

<

https://www.learncommunitycloud.com/s/article/Implementing-reCAPTCHA-in-Community-Cloud

>

It is possible to implement all 3 currently available Google reCAPTCHA

types within a Salesforce Lighting Community without VisualForce

workarounds or disabling Lightning Locker. The concept that makes this

possible is the isolation of the 3rd party library within the Head Markup

of the community. Using JavaScript events, Aura and LWC components can

interact with the library without the responsibility of loading or

referencing it directly.

This article will help you choose the right experience for your users and

cover code examples you can try yourself for each reCAPTCHA type....
