Salesforce Fundamentals Admin 201: ReDI

Welcome to Salesforce Fundamentals training! This is our Community group (just like slack) where we will post presentations, homework and any other important information. You can also use this group to post questions and also provide feedback to one another. Please get use to using this group so that everyone is informed and has the same information. Don't forget to have Fun, Fun, and Fun :)

Dear Munich course members,

as some of you know, we have decided to change the format of our course a little, as we noticed that a classroom course was helpful in the beginning, but not anymore for the remaining steps to become certified admins.

Hence, there will be no more classes on Monday in Munich. We are starting a 1:1 mentoring program for those of you, who want to do the certification and have time and commitment to do it. In the first step we will start with @Adam Kazembe , @Ronald Kaweesi and @Okello Steven

for others who are interested, please write us a short note and we will contact you

Thanks to everyone, who participated in this program. It was a true pleasure

See you soon.

@Hans-Peter Vogel @Ramez Louis @Mario Habermann

I was unable to show up on Monday again due certain limitation out of Munich. However, do we continue with the recap of the past topics ( in the pdf file) or We can still do some assignments in trailhead incase some one missed this week?

Welcome Berlin members! You can post questions regarding the Trails (and the course in general) to this group. Note, this group is also used by the Munich Fundamentals course attendees. We please ask that you specify you are in the Berlin group when posting. Also note, the Berlin course is cancelled on Monday March 18th. The course will resume on Monday March 25th. Thanks!

Dear students,

recapping our partner visit from Factory42, we are happy to announce that they are willing to take on interns. However, we are aware that the session with the partner did not quite meet your expectations and we would like to receive your feedback during our next session on Monday.

If you are interested in the internship, the task is to show what you can do on the Salesforce platform. And just to be clear: no one expects any developer skills ;) You have to build something on the Salesforce platform, that is made by you and demonstrates how you can create value on the Salesforce platform.

Our advice is to focus on the business value rather than on the complexity of the application.

The way to approach this is to think about a problem, you or someone else is experiencing and which could be addressed by a solution built on Salesforce. E.g. think of your professional experience, of your experience as a student or of an interaction you had with a company.

Afterwards, create a small project plan for yourself following this structure:

    • Why ? - What is the problem or value proposition addressed by the project?
    • What? - What is the work that will be performed on the project? What are the major deliverables?
    • When? - What is the project timeline and when will particularly meaningful points, referred to as milestones, be complete?

In preparation for our next session on Monday, we would ask you to come up with a problem you would like to tackle and prepare a first plan how you would address it.

We are looking forward to your ideas!

If you have any questions in the meantime, feel free to post them here.

See you soon,

Mario
