Dear students,

recapping our partner visit from Factory42, we are happy to announce that they are willing to take on interns. However, we are aware that the session with the partner did not quite meet your expectations and we would like to receive your feedback during our next session on Monday.

If you are interested in the internship, the task is to show what you can do on the Salesforce platform. And just to be clear: no one expects any developer skills ;) You have to build something on the Salesforce platform, that is made by you and demonstrates how you can create value on the Salesforce platform.

Our advice is to focus on the business value rather than on the complexity of the application.

The way to approach this is to think about a problem, you or someone else is experiencing and which could be addressed by a solution built on Salesforce. E.g. think of your professional experience, of your experience as a student or of an interaction you had with a company.

Afterwards, create a small project plan for yourself following this structure:

    • Why ? - What is the problem or value proposition addressed by the project?
    • What? - What is the work that will be performed on the project? What are the major deliverables?
    • When? - What is the project timeline and when will particularly meaningful points, referred to as milestones, be complete?

In preparation for our next session on Monday, we would ask you to come up with a problem you would like to tackle and prepare a first plan how you would address it.

We are looking forward to your ideas!

If you have any questions in the meantime, feel free to post them here.

See you soon,

Mario
