If the Employee Agent isn't working, first make sure you're using the special Agentforce Developer Edition org with Agentforce for employees access that is provided in the Trailhead unit. A regular Trailhead Playground may not have the Employee Agent template.
Also check that Agentforce is enabled in the org and that the correct org is connected to the Trailhead challenge. After connecting the org, try refreshing the page and running the challenge again.
If you're already using the specially provisioned org and the Employee Agent still doesn't work, could you share the exact error message or a screenshot? That would help determine whether it's an org provisioning or configuration issue.
If the issue continues after trying a fresh, correctly provisioned org, a Trailhead Help case would be the next step.
