There are Extracts and Live connections. For Extract you can review the tasks and background jobs to see the status of the Extracts. I was wondering if there is a similar log for Live connections? We often see workbooks with a failing live connection. This could be because of different reasons (eg. table not existing anymore, server down, change of credentials, etc.). Like we have for extracts, we would like to get an overview of all datasources and their status/notes, being able to see when connections fail and built alerts on top of it.

Thanks Matt, clear answer! Sorry to hear that it currently requires quite an investment. Not sure if we're willing to that just yet.
