Good afternoon!

We have a mobile launch page with several thumbnails to other Tableau dashboards.  When a user selects one of these thumbnails, they are sent to Safari and asked to enter their credentials.  I have two questions about this:

1.  Is it possible to have the dashboards open in mobile again instead of opening in Safari?

2. What do we need to change to allow the users' credentials to be used after they click on the workbook.  I don't want the users to be prompted for their credentials again.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,.

Mike

    Hey Michael,

This question has been asked in a few different ways but the answer remains that there is no way to have a workbook or dashboard open in the app automatically instead of safari. The issue is in how the iPad handles file types. The thumbnails are simply links and there is currently no way to tell the iPad to open certain links in certain apps. If we were dealing with actual .twbx files and if the app could open .twbx files, then having the app open the file wouldn't be an issue. I recommend voting up ideas like this one:
