Hi,

I have uploaded a PDF to the Marketing Cloud Next CMS and would like to add a link to the PDF in an email.

I found this article explaining how to get the URL of an uploaded CMS asset:

https://medium.com/@marketingcloudtips/marketing-cloud-next-how-to-find-the-url-of-an-uploaded-image-13f385e07ba5

I followed the approach described in the article and used the Content Key, channel ID and org ID to construct the URL, but I couldn't get it to work for my PDF.

What is the correct way to get the public URL of a PDF stored in Marketing Cloud Next CMS and then link to that PDF from an email?

Is there a different process for PDFs compared with images, or is there a specific place in Marketing Cloud Next where the PDF URL can be retrieved?

Thanks!

In that case, if attachement is not a solution, as it is quite unclear if Documents hosted in CMS can be referenced by a public URL (i'd say they can't), you'd rather store your PDF as a regular Salesforce Files, create a public link and use it in your email.
