📣📣 Volunteer Management in NPC is here!

For over a decade, the sector has asked Salesforce for a modern, integrated volunteer solution. As a team, we can't wait to get this in your hands. I can't remember a roadmap session in the last ten years that we didn't get a question from someone about when will we offer new Volunteer Management tools. Thank you to every member of this community, and our partner ecosystem who helped get this solution to general available.

This isn't just a feature; it's a significant step for the sector – we are moving fast on this one, and you will see us quickly follow on with agentic tools for volunteer management in upcoming releases.  Check out what’s new with Volunteer Management in Nonprofit Cloud as well as what else is coming in terms of innovation in our Winter ‘25 Release.

Nonprofit Cloud Innovations:

  • Volunteer Management in Nonprofit Cloud: Enable easy recruitment and engagement with volunteers, offering a 360 view of each individual and their activity with the organization while also increasing the accuracy in impact reporting. For existing Nonprofit Cloud customers, this new functionality is automatically added to their instance. No extra cost; it’s part of the value.
  • Gift Entry Grid in Nonprofit Cloud: Enter gifts quickly and accurately with a user-friendly interface and smart defaults that save time and effort, reduce implementation costs, can be customized to fit your needs, and keep data clean so that you can boost fundraising efforts.
  • Disbursement Scheduler in Nonprofit Cloud for Grantmaking: Automate the creation and scheduling of funding disbursements by reducing manual effort and minimizing errors to ensure timely and accurate fund distribution.

Update: This is now working. I needed to assign the "Manage Volunteer Work in Experience Cloud" Permission Set.

Hi @Lori Freeman, @Lizzy Roberts. I have an NPC Developer Org (Summer '25) with Volunteer Management enabled. I created an Experience Cloud site and Enabled a Customer User. I've assigned them the 'Volunteer Management for Experience Cloud' Permission Set License. I also created a Permission Set with Read access to all the Volunteer Management objects and assigned this to the Customer User. However, while they can see their Person Account when they log in to the portal, they can't see any of the Volunteering records (e.g. Volunteer Initiatives). Is there anything else I'm missing or should I just wait for Winter '26 updates? The Sharing Setting for the volunteering records are all set to Public for external users.
