Hi there! Does anyone know of a comprehensive chart that describes the similarities and differences between salesforce Inbox and standard Einstein activity capture? Technical details are preferred, but I’ll take anything to start. Thank you in advance!

These are 2 quite different products in how they are deployed.

    Inbox

Optional email tracking, with availability insertion

    Inbox , now called

Sales Cloud everywhere, is used and configured by the end user, adding various capabilities the user can use when they compose emails. help file

There is also a side window on the email screen with a glimpse into the salesforce record from CRM

    Einstein Activity Capture

Automatic email tracking and contact sync, configured at the server/setup menu, and opted into by each user (I believe). All email sent to and from the user's email account will automatically be logged in salesforce, and contacts and events can be auto synced.

The two product overlap in that both enable logging of emails... but I think that is it. Does anyone disagree?

These can be used together, in which case the user does not need to log the emails, but still might want to use the features of inbox like the CRM record preview, or the ability to insert calendar availability times into an email, to facilitate the recipient grabbing a time that works for both parties.
