Hello @Steve Molis Hope you are doing well - reaching out with some questions about SF native Sales Account Plans, hoping you might be in a position to help to address some of these. In our Company, we enabled Account Plans in one of our sandboxes, and we plan to roll it out to our end users shortly (also to replace a custom solution we bought few months ago from App Exchange). We came across some limitations on which we are awaiting Salesforce Product Team to get back, but I was hoping to see if others are struggling with the same as we do. Some of the challenges we came across: 1) It seems that SF standard objects that appear after enabling Account Plans do not include standard "Currency" field. This limits the ability of creating custom fields with Data Type = Currency, as end users are not able to change the Currency of the Account Plan after creation (on create, currency default to the one from user settings). Our aim is to allow our users to enter the "Target" for the given Account Plan in the currency of their choice, but it does not seem doable. While doing this at Account Plan level might not sound as a "must-have", because the standard solution allows recording "currency" type of Measures against objectives, being able to change the currency would make sense. 2) Per native SF Account Plans, it looks like any KPI data is intended to be recorded at "Objective" and "Objective Measure" level - this is where we determine if a Target would be a currency, number, percent, etc. However, I assume due to data model itself, we cannot create a Roll-Up Summary formulas (i.e., cannot roll-up the measure information to the Objective, and then up to the Account Plans itself. 3) Some of the "standard" features are not enabled on Account Plan-related objects in Salesforce. There is no reports enabled (requiring custom report types to be created), no Activities enabled, no Field History tracking. These would all be useful in the context of our business requirements - would be good to understand if any of this is planned for future delivery by Salesforce (and when), and whether someone has any workaround in place for the same.
This is a known issue. As far as Account Plans as well as Account Plans with Objectives that may have activities, solution is being deployed with Winter 26 release on a rolling basis.
