Does anyone have an article or graph that breaks down the difference between these?

I know that Outlook for SF will be retired in June 2024.

And a specific question... can you create events and edit fields on that Event from a Salesforce extension within your Outlook email if you have Einstein Activity Capture or is that only something you can do with Outlook for Salesforce ?

Thanks!

    There are a few options for Event Sync;

    1. Outlook for Salesforce

    - In phased retirement

    2. Outlook Integration

    - From a side panel in Outlook you can manually create events and update records

    3. Lightning Sync

    - In phased retirement

    4. Einstein Activity Capture

    - Automatically sync events from Salesforce to Outlook, Outlook to Salesforce or both ways. Will try to link to matching Sales Cloud Record.

    You can use Option 2 and 4 together if you wanted to combine automatic sync and have some control of this in your Outlook client.
