I have been asked to create 4 more portal roles. Does anyone know how to set up portal user roles and where I can see existing roles? In standard Roles, I see only those created for internal users, and it's just one. Portal User Roles are clearly done somewhere else.

I am working in a sandbox, the lowest level, I went to All Sites to select this particular portal, then > Workspace > Administration > Members and looked at Site Role at the foot of the page, where a Salesforce doc stated is where we can create custom labels for Roles, but this can't be what I'm trying to do. Besides, I cannot see existing roles there.

According to System Overview, we have 8 portal roles created in this particular sandbox, but where do I see and manage them all? I'm assuming it's also where I would create more. And how are they auto-assigned? There must be somewhere I would set all this up. Thank you in advance for your help!

@K S Unique role is not created per user, but per account. If the setting in the org is 1, then only one role will be created when first user is added to account. As new users are added under same account, they all inherit the same role. If you have setting change to 3, Then when first user is created under account, it should create 3 roles automatically. Any future user, you will have to choose between those 3 roles which one you want to use. Executive is highest and user being lowest. And yes there is a max limit as you stated. Salesforce does recommend cleaning up unused roles or enabling features like Account role optimization(which are bit advanced features)
