How can external users request an access token from a connected app ??

I have created a rest api which is to be accessed over a connected app via oauth. The access token is returned for an internal user; but the access token is not returned for an external user, for the grant _type authorization code. How can I resolve this??

    Hey @Amit Singh, can you pls tell me how to perform that with community user/portal user, how to access sf access token in this user's context?
