If the goal is just to keep Excel data updated in Salesforce, I wouldn’t build this around VBScript. Skyvia (https://skyvia.com/data-integration/integrate-salesforce-excel) can handle the mapping and update/upsert part and run it on a schedule, so there’s much less to maintain on your side.
