Setting up dashboards

Question

Third week in at a nonprofit in fundraising role and new to Salesforce. How do I set up my dashboards?

Spend some time getting to grips with reports first, starting simple and then layering in more complex reporting challenges. Pay close attention to 'report types' - I see many users who are new to Salesforce tripping up there. Once you have some confidence with reports then dashboards will come easy. Dashboard filters can be very helpful to prevent a proliferation of dashboards - definitely worth giving time to understanding them :-)
