Hi all,

I've scoured the community trying to find an answer and I've seen a lot of things come close on slightly different use cases.

Essentially, I want to measure sales opportunity creation, YoY and YTD. I'm able to do a YoY comparison wihout the YTD, but really want the chart to only show last years performance through the month and date that it is in the current year.

Example: It's february 22nd, so I want to see all sales opportunities created through Feb 22nd 2021, as well as Jan 1st through Feb 22nd of 2020 to compare how we're pacing against last years rate.

Here's what I've tried, and it just wont work for whatever reason: https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=000340203&type=1&mode=1

Could anyone lend a hand? Ideally I'd be able to do this with report filters instead of having our admin create custom fields (I will ask them but would like to produce this report as quickly as possible).

Thanks so much for reading!

    Hi Tanaya,

Thanks so much for taking the time to provide an answer.

In that scenario you describe, I'm wondering how the 2020 data would flow into the report. Essentially what I'm looking for is opportunities created from 1/1/21-2/22/21 in addition to 1/1/20-2/22/20. Does that make more sense?

Also, I don't want to use absolute dates such as 2/22/21 because I'd want it to automatically update to 2/23/21 the next day. I hope this is making sense :).

    I really appreciate your time.
