Hello, there!

I'm new to Salesforce - currently taking a preparation Admin's course - and I'de like to ask a question in order to clarify a doubt regarding the definition of RECORD & OBJECT.

The question is: does a record mean the same as a tuple in Salesforce?

Note: I have a background in Database and the concept of RECORD is the same as TUPLE - a specifi field in a database column.

Can any anyone help me, please?

Thanks in advance!

    Hi Jeova,

In simple terms, an object is a tab of an excel file. An excel file consists of Rows and columns.

Imaging fields as columns and records are rows.

As a tab in excel can have relations with other tabs of excel, Objects in salesforce could link to different objects.

Do let me know if it helped.

    Regards
