Data security - sharing rules

As part of the challenge for the data challenge security. I have to create a sharing rule. My problem is that I can't find the custom object in the drop-down menu in the "Based on Criteria" option. How can I add the missing option?

 

I have the picklist ready, but it's not showing in the drop-down menu.

    Interesting...ok, check all the obvious stuff, are you on the right object (looks like the Project object?), refresh the page, back out of the sharing rules editor and reopen? 

     

    If you have read access on the field and access the object, should be available there.
