When I orginally downloaded the "Salesforce to Outlook" installer I choose the "manual"  sync method but now I want to change it to "automatic". How do I do this?

 

If anyone happens to know too, are there any potential pitfalls in having it sync automatically?

 

Finally, being the administrator can I do this for all my users too?

Salesforce for Outlook - Want to change initial login instructions I chose the initial sync setting to be "manual".   How would I change this to be automatic?

    Hello Kim,

     

    After the Summer '13 release Salesforce for Outlook now has options for Manual sync (marking specific records for sync) or Automatic sync (all records in the folder are sycned unless selected not to sync). Toggling this option is available by selecting "Settings"  from the Salesforce for Outlook menu in the System tray or while going through the initial Settings wizard.

     

    If you are not doing a Bidirectional sync or a sync from Outlook to Salesforce you will not see the Automatic/Manual option in Settings.  The reason behind this is the setting is not required to sync records from Salesforce to Outlook
