Emails logged with Salesforce inbox for one user say "This email isn't shared with you." How do I adjust the visibility?

I'm the administrator and I noticed on the past activity of an account, all of the emails logged say "This email isn't shared with you" "...ask to share". I'm surprised that this can be hidden from me as the admin, how could I get visibility to these for myself or others if this person were to leave the company, or before they do?
