I have a custom object called Engagements that has a related list on its page layout called Prospects (custom object). The Prospect page layout has a lookup field that is a required field called Opportunity. I would like to auto-populate the Opportunity field when I create the Prospect so the user doesn't have to open another window to search for the opportunity.
I am new to triggers and have no idea how to set one up. Any help would be appreciated.
