In Visualforce page, can you get values from an object's related lists

Question

I am attempting to create a pdf based on the Account object. I used standardcontroller="Account" and it works great for getting information from the Account object. The Account object has a related list called "COC". COC is a custom object. There are fields in the related object that I need to include in the pdf. Is there good documentation somewhere to show me how to do this?

And, is there any documentation that shows what all the formatting tags are? For example <b>, <i>, etc. I have some fields I'd like to line up vertically which do not.
