I had a ton of contacts synced to my outlook folder because I was the owner.

When I attempted to delete them in outlook, they also were deleted in salesforce.

I then updated the owners so I am no longer the owner of these contacts and I deleted one which did not to seem to delete it in salesforce.

Does anyone have the official logic around this?

Thanks!!

Do you need the know why they were deleted from salesforce when removing them from outlook?

This has to do with the config settings for the connector.  If you have it sync both ways when something is removed in one it does the same in the other.  you can control the flow of the sync to be one way to avoid this.  it has happened to many of my users and their personal contacts get into salesforce, then they delete the records in SF becuase they are personal contacts.  this results in the contact being removed from their phones because they are synced with outlook and outlook is synced with SF.  Makes a lot of mess.  hopefully this is what you were after, if not sorry for the long winded waste of time it took you to read this.

If you need something else try to ask the question again, Good luck!
