I'm wondering if anyone has had to do this or something similar for their organization. I am hoping to collect state/province/region information but I want to eliminate any typos or variances by using a dropdown list. The only thing is that this will be a form used globally, so state and region options will change depending on the country that is selected.

Is there a way to filter dropdown options based on current country selection? I don't want someone trying to select a state in the US to see the options for Australia, as an example.

In case you can't filter dropdown choices, I tested creating multiple fields specific to each country. The issues I'm running into with this option are:

  1. You can't have two fields on a form mapping to the same Pardot field
  2. You can't have multiple Pardot fields mapping to the same Salesforce field (that I can see)

Would I need to create individual fields in Salesforce and then somehow merge all of those into the state field? Is this even possible?

I'd appreciate any help or guidance on this, thanks in advance!

yes, they are designed to work together. Hopefully when Pardot reactivates the IP auto-fill it takes State & Country picklists into account. The old solution did not align and causes lots of headaches.
