Hi all,

Does anyone notice any discrepancies in metrics in Engagement Studios vs. the email templates used in them? For example, open and click rates for a template in an Engagement Studio not matching the reporting on the actual template view? I read that unmailable prospects move through the program without receiving emails but could still follow through on actions (for example, sending an email followed by an action to "add to a Salesforce campaign - they won't receive the email if they've unmailable but will still be added to the campaign). That makes sense to me, but is there anything else that might be causing discrepancies?

Thanks in advance!

    Couple of possibilities.

    1) Email Templates can be used in more than one place.

You can use the same template in multiple Engagement Studio programs, for example.

So an individual Email Template may have 1,000 total sends (across ALL programs) but the individual Engagement Program you are looking at has only sent 100.

Look at the PUBLISHED version of the Email Template page (not the report page, but the one where you see the email design). It should have a Usage Table on it. This is the locations across Pardot which use this email template at this time.

(If the email was used elsewhere, but is no longer used there, then the past/historical usage does not show in the usage table.)

    2) Check that you are reviewing the full time frame in the engagement studio. If you're only looking at the last 7 days, but the email template has been in use for a year? Numbers are very different.
