Why Is Data Cloud The Future Of Salesforce?

It's not (only) about the 360-degree view of the customer, other tools (including Salesforce tools) already do this.

Hoping this group may have some insight into the best way to resolve the issue below; I'm new to the Admin role and struggling a bit on this one: 

When viewing the Activity history of an Opportunity, historical email correspondence isn't coming through at all. I can see the number of replies that took place on whatever date, but I'm prompted to click "Ask to Share" (option for "This email" or "All of X's emails and meetings) to view the full thread. How do I go about adjusting the settings so that the emails are visible by default? I selected the "Ask to Share" > "All of X's emails and meetings" option for now as well, but I'm not seeing that request delivered anywhere for the end user?

I should also mention, the particular person we are trying to see email insights for is no longer an Active user - could that be the reason this feature is impacted? Our Sales group is also setup with "Inbox with Einstein Activity Capture" as part of their Permission Sets, which should be capturing this type of activity.

Trying to add a Gmail account to Einstein Activity Capture and getting the following error "We couldn’t connect your account, it might be because you were added to the activity deletion list. If so ask your Salesforce admin to deactivate your user record and reprovision you as a new user, then try again."

User Settings > Email > Einstein Activity Capture > Settings 

Click "New Account"

Click "Connect my Google Account"

Error.

Googling the error returns nothing much. Nothing in the docs.

We have recently reset our activity capture settings if that helps point you in the right direction.

Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Hi All,

I am trying to put a binding on a Widget Property but it is not working. I am starting to doubt if it is possible at all. I have a stacked bar chart with sales targets per quarter showing values. I want to bind the 'Normalize' property so a user can switch between numbers and percentages. However I keep getting the Invalid JSON error. I guess that is because the parameter is a boolean and my binding is returning a string (with "") but I don't know how to fix this.Anyone fixed this before? The binding syntax I use is: {{cell(Normalize_targets_to_1.selection, 0, \"boolean\").asString()}} and I am copying this in the Widget property Normalize (which is boolean true/false).

According to https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/atlas.en-us.bi_dev_guide_bindings.meta/bi_dev_guide_bindings/bi_dashboard_bindings_limitations.htm I am assuming it should be possible since my widget Type is chart.
