    Hi @Kandula Hemanth Kumar

Your screenshots narrow this down. I think the problem is that you're using the wrong Salesforce panel, not a broken configuration.

    What the screenshots show

    • Your pane config is fine. The Email Application Pane Default has Related and Tasks tabs with Email Templates, Log Email or Event, People and Contacts. It's the default page and it's assigned to System Administrator. This rules out the "empty pane" theory.
    • Cookies and clickjack aren't the problem. Third-party cookies are allowed, and the clickjack settings look normal. Your Incognito test also proved nothing, because Chrome blocks third-party cookies in Incognito, as your own screenshot says.
    • The panel in your first screenshot is Chrome's side panel, not the Gmail add-on. It has the Salesforce logo and pin/close buttons at the far right, and your last screenshot shows the same panel. That's the Salesforce Chrome extension, whose home view shows Contextual Insights, My Goals and Search. It works on non-email pages because it's authenticated, as you noticed. It isn't what renders the Email Application Pane, so it stays blank when you open an email.
    • The Gmail add-on isn't installed or pinned. In your first screenshot, Gmail's own right sidebar shows only Calendar, Keep, Tasks, Contacts and the "+" button. There's no Salesforce icon. The Email Application Pane (Related / Tasks tabs) appears there, not in the Chrome side panel.

This is an inference from the screenshots, so verify it with the steps below.

    What to try

    1. Close the Chrome side panel. It's a distraction for this test.
    2. In Gmail, click the + in the right sidebar (Get add-ons) and install the Salesforce add-on from the Google Workspace Marketplace. Grant the permissions.
    3. Open an email and click the new Salesforce icon in the right sidebar.
    4. When the add-on asks you to log in, use the custom domain / sandbox option with your sandbox My Domain URL. Don't use the default production login.
    5. Test with an email from an address that exists on a Contact or Lead. Your test email is self-sent, so you may see an empty Related tab even once the pane works.

    Other notes

    • Cookie exceptions: add [*.]salesforce.com alongside your existing [*.]force.com and [*.]sandbox.my.salesforce.com entries.
    • Clickjack setting: you unchecked "headers disabled" only as a test. It didn't help, so restore whatever it was before. I can't tell from the screenshot what the original value was.
    • Chrome flags: I'd skip the chrome://flags suggestion from the thread. It isn't backed by your evidence.

One question: is the Gmail account personal (@

    gmail.com

) or Google Workspace? I haven't verified that personal accounts are fully supported for the Gmail add-on, and the "Upgrade" button in your first screenshot suggests personal. If the add-on won't install or authorize, that's the first thing I'd check in Salesforce Help. Also confirm in Setup > Gmail Integration and Sync that the integration toggle is on and the user has the required permission set. I haven't verified the exact permission set name.

I hope you find the above information helpful. If it does, please mark it as Best Answer to help others too.

We are setting up Salesforce Inbox with Einstein Activity Capture for Gmail, and I noticed that the field mappings for syncing Contacts map the Google Company to the Salesforce Account Name. Given that most of our Contacts are associated with Household Accounts, I'm concerned that syncing will override Household names with where people work instead.

Account field mapping aside, I have some hesitation about syncing Contacts Gmail to Salesforce for fear it will create a bunch of duplicates in Salesforce. What experiences / issues have people had using EAC with NPSP, Contact syncing or otherwise? Thanks!

I think that before deploying the sync to your entire organization, conduct thorough testing in a sandbox environment. This allows you to identify and address any issues without affecting your live data. #EinsteinGPT

I am getting started as a single user on the Essentials edition and working towards an administration certification. I would like to sync my contacts between SF Lightning Experience and my Gsuite account contacts. I have imported the contacts into SF, walked through the Setup for Gmail integration and have been reading articles & doing modules on Gmail integration but can't get the contacts synced.

In this Help article - https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=lightning_sync_admin_sync_contact_overview.htm&type=5 - it doesn't list Essentials as an "Available In" "Required Edition".  Does that mean I can't sync my contacts with Google or Outlook in at the Essential level??

Hello, Trailblazers.

We have a G-suite account with the main email address plus multiple aliases.

When we connect gmail, it sets the sender email address as the main email address.

We want to send some emails to show the sender as the main gmail address and other emails to show the sender as any of the aliases.

Is this possible? How do we set it up?

Thanks for your help.

We have got the same issue and I see, that the original idea @Atul Gupta posted

is from 2009 and nothing happened.

from my point of view nowadays a lot of Salesforce Customers should have this issue (with the assumption that many use gmail and also gmail is the preferred suggestion in Salesforce setup (Service Cloud: "connect support email")

    Example:

    Main Gmail-Adress: prename.surname@companyXYZ.com

Gmail Alias: support@companyXYZ.com (25 different are possible in gmail)

This alias "support" seems can't be connected to Service Cloud as main incoming email as Salesforce waits for a confirmation email from google, which isn't sent, because the main email address is a different one.

does a workaround or another solution exist in the meanwhile?

I'm not sure why this happens nor how to fix it for records in the past, any suggestions are appreciated. I'm using the gmail integration. Below is just one example where the account shows the email was sent, however the list or the report shows the last email date of another email but not the latest email. How would one clean up say 400 records that are showing like this? And do you know the cause? I have one contact record per account, so it's not that known bug.

Looks like there was a bug of some sort, support ran a 'day zero' update and it updated the records.

Hi all,

I found this article which explains that emails triggered from Flow are sent by Salesforce and not by 3rd party providers (Gmail in our case). Has anyone been able to figure out how to have an email triggered from Flow to sent via Gmail so it appears in the users sent folder in Gmail as well as the Activity Timeline on the associated record?

This visibility is critical for our sellers to let them know the communication actually went out.

Open to any/all suggestions!

Thanks Scott, are you aware of way set a BCC within the Email Core Action in Flow Builder? This is the automation we are using to send the email out on the users behalf.

What about Email Relay through Gmail, would that solve this issue?

We were able to install the plug-in and see the Inbox pane in Gmail. But what we've built in Lightning App Builder in our Sandbox, is not what we see on the pane in our Gmail. Is there some reason why the changes to the pane view in Sandbox wouldn't carry over to what we see live in our Gmail?

The Gmail view doesn't include our work queue, and other updates to the we made to the lightning app builder pane view. Please see screenshots below.

Please excuse the length of this screenshot but hopefully this gives you a idea of how this should be setup.

We just setup Gmail integration in a client's org, but for one of the gmail accounts, clicking on the extension doesn't bring up the sidebar to login to salesforce. I recently set up their gmail as a new user for our org, but the domain name for their account is @gmail.com instead of the company's google domain name. Could this be the cause of the issue? #Gmail Integration

For some reason, the "prompt to log" with Gmail Integration no longer brings the "To" Salesforce Contact, only the "From" which is the Salesforce User. Has someone else experienced this same issue ? This causes to having to re-add the Salesforce Contact before logging the email under the correct Record.  #Gmail Integration

    @Sakthivel M

Alright, apparently this is a known issue and is due to Gmail's new UI. Here is the information I received:

This behavior with Gmail Integration is due to Gmail's new UI. Due to Gmail's new recognition system in the To, CC, and BCC fields, Gmail Integration's interaction with the email recipients in Gmail is affected. Gmail Integration's side panel couldn't determine anymore if there is an email address in the To, CC, and BCC field.   Please know that our internal team is already aware of this issue and an internal investigation is already being performed. A known issue is published on this in which you may follow and mark "This Issue Affects me".  ================= Known Issue:  Gmail integration auto search and Insert Availability may fail for users that are using Gmail's "Rapid Release Channel" https://trailblazer.salesforce.com/issues_view?id=a1p4V000002Pqv0QAC =================  As a workaround, our R&D team advises users to reverting to "Scheduled release" in Google Workspace account settings.

Hoping this helps others... and gets resolved soon !

Hey All,  Having some issues at my org where the add Availability function in Salesforce Inbox is stating "Your message must have at least one recipient" even when a recipient has been added.

  • We are integrated with Gmail.
  • We are using Lightning.
  • We have tried with users related to Salesforce records and users not related to Salesforce records.
  • Tried uninstalling & disconnecting email/calendar account.

Hoping someone may have insight into this issue.

Best,

Cody

I actually just got off a support call with a Salesforce rep and this Known Issue was brought up. Which is what is happening at our org. Hopefully, it gives you an answer as well.
