When I merge 2 records (Accounts), does salesforce also map/merge the record (namely Case, Contacts, Activities, Opportunity, Opportunity Products, all approvals, etc...)?

When merging duplicate accounts how can I also merge opportunities?

I'm experiencing the same issue as this question that didn't seem to be resolved: https://trailhead.salesforce.com/trailblazer-community/feed/0D54S00000BuIlBSAV

 

When merging accounts in NPSP, how can I keep the opportunities associated with both accounts without losing half of the data? Currently, when I merge accounts, NPSP makes me choose which account's opportunities I would like to keep and deletes the other account's opportunities.

    Hello,

     

    If you were to reparent the Opportunities and then merge the Accounts you should be good to go.

How can I merge 2 Accounts?

Hi there,

It may sound silly but I can't merge 2 Accounts.

I want to merge the Accounts :

1. The SPB Global

2. SPB Global

When I type the name to find the Account: The SPB Global it's coming only the first account, and if I type SPB Global it's coming only the second one. 

If I type GLOBAL or SPB Global which are common words in both names it's not taking the first with the "The" naming.

How could I merge them?

How can I merge 2 Accounts?

    Hi Imo, 

     

    You could use the asterisks (*) wildcard in front of SPB Global. That way it searches for SPB Global and all the characters that are before SPB Global.
