Hi,

 

Has anyone experienced this 'Query Execution Failed' error in EA?

Considering that you have enabled the subtotal feature in EA compare table.

Add two Dimensions and a measure in a compare table, enable the subtotal for compare table. Now Take a median of any measure, it ends up with Query Execution failed error.

Not sure if I am doing anything wrong here or this functionality is broken for Median of a measure.

Thoughts?

    PS: I tried doing the same thing in SAQL and got the same Query Execution failed error in SAQL. if I do the same thing with a sum instead of the median, it works fine.

Filtering on a measure.

Hello,

 

When filtering on a measure there is an option for picking "All values" or Specific value.

 

From the Super Store Example:

 

We create State Vs Sales.

 

We drag sales to the filter shelf, now it asks a question

 

"How do you want to filter on [Sale]"?

 

#ALL VALUES

⌗SUM

⌗AVG

#MEDIAN

 

If we select sum and say atleast 100K, it would display State Vs Sales for all the states that have sales greater than 100K.

 

I don't understand the option of "ALL VALUES", if we select "ALL VALUES", does it mean to say, SUM of SALES>100k and AVG of SALES>100K and MEDIAN of SALES>100K?

In what scenario do we even use an option like this?

    All Values--- filters the data at the row level in the database.

    Hi venkatesh. All Values--- filters the data at the row level in the database. sum--- It gives the range from least sales value to maximum sales value with respect to state.

     

    sum--- It gives the range from least sales value to maximum sales value with respect to state.

    Average---It gives the range from least average sales to maximum avg sales with respective to state..

    It works same to other aggregate functions also..
