Certification Exam Resources

For information about Salesforce Certification exams, maintenance questions, and community support.

Hello Trailblazers!

We've got important news about the Salesforce Certification program.

We want to share the following key updates to our roadmap:

  • 24 certifications will be retired. These include 15 Accredited Professional certifications and 9 Salesforce Certifications (across various roles & products).
  • 16 certifications will be renamed. This is happening to align with current Salesforce products and new branding, like the incorporation of Agentforce.

Retiring these exams helps us to:

  • Make your certifications more valuable: We align our certifications with the skills and expertise that hiring managers seek in the workplace.
  • Stay current with the product landscape: As Salesforce technologies evolve, our certifications are updated to reflect the skills professionals use daily.
  • Grow your skills where it matters most: We build certifications around the latest job roles, products, and features to give you the most relevant, in-demand certifications available today.

Key Dates

Mark your calendars (all dates are set to 12:00 a.m. UTC):

  • Friday, July 24, 2026: This is the last day to register for any retiring exams. And, this is the day all renamed certifications will officially go live.
  • Tuesday, August 31, 2026: This is the final day you can take any retiring exams.
  • February 1, 2027: The official retirement date for all impacted certifications.

What This Means For You

  • If you hold a retiring certification: It remains valid through the official retirement date of February 1, 2027, and you won't have any maintenance requirements in the meantime. These certifications will still be visible on your Trailblazer profile as part of your professional history.
  • If you are planning to pursue a retiring certification: You must register by July 24, 2026, and complete the exam by August 31, 2026.
  • If you hold a renamed certification: No action is required. The certification name on your Trailblazer profile will change on July 24, 2026. For information on how to request a new certificate with the updated name, visit Receive Your Salesforce Certificate and Logo After Earning a Certification

Hi,

I scheduled for Salesforce Platform Admin Certification on today at 12:15 PM IST.

I was I was able to download OnVue but it was not able to run the system test even I tried multiple times which prevented me to take the certification.

Earlier when I tried, the system test was completed but today it didn't run my system test.

I keep on trying and it was able to run after 30-35 minutes of my scheduled interview.

But, by that time the status of my certification is shown as 'Completed' with 'Pending Score'.

Now, I'm not able to take my certification & the status is showing as Completed - Pending Score.

Not sure why Onvue was not able to run the system test.

Anyone face such issues?

I have raised a ticket and the support team is working on it.

Yes sadly it happens to me last week Thursday! It took them 24 hrs to resolve my case so that I can re register but I do not have my refund yet. THey said it could take 6 business days. I will go into a center for the retake as the process was very stressful.

My Certification exam was suspended and no help from Trailhead

I scheduled my Salesforce AI Associate Certification exam. I was giving the exam from my PG. For some reason they found out that the test environment was not appropriate and suspended my exam when I completed almost 90 percentage of the assessment. Moreover , my roommate also opted for the same exam from this room itself and successfully completed his certification. In his case too , they checked the entire room but did not flag any problem.

I raised a ticket on Trailhead. Few hours later, they replied with a positive note that my exam have been suspended, however it will take around 15-18 business days to come up with a resolution that they will provide me and It is already been over 18 business days.

I have given other certification exams ( google cert examinations to be more specific ) through the same test partner i.e Kryterion. And I have never faced such an issue before. The environment check is usually done before the start of examination along with Identity check ( checking the govt issued ID card ) and the same were mentioned in the video that is played before the launch of examination. All of this ID card checking, room/environment checking didn't happen prior to the start of examination. This ideally shouldn't happen because checking the environment in middle of taking test simply breaks the flow and concentration of one taking the test.

Getting this certification is really important for me for my job and career as I am going to embark on a new journey with salesforce. I have put my heart and soul in the preparation. Getting kicked out in the middle of taking test without proper response and that too when I have already answered all the questions is really disheartening.

I sincerely request the team to look into my case and suggest further steps to reschedule my exam at the earliest possible.

Hoping to hear back soon.

Hey , usually its a very common practice to test the environment by the examiners , as far i remember it was during my ai specialist exam i was asked 2 times to show my desk and walk around the room with my laptop , i will urge you to wait if you think you havenot done anything wrong , be patient with their response , u ve already raised the ticket , and yea if you think that decision will not be in your favour create another account on webassessor using different email id and then after completing exam raise a ticket to merge account in trailhead bh raising a ticket so that your certification appears in trailhead

    Hope it helps !

    All the best

Hello trailblazers!

I have 'maintenance due' status for Spring '26 for below mentioned certifications.

Platform Administrator

Platform Administrator 2

Sales Cloud Consultant

Service Cloud Consultant

Experience Cloud Consultant.

I completed the

Maintain Your Platform Administrator Certification for Spring ’26

module. When I click on 'Complete Maintenance' on others, it redirects to the Admin Certification maintenance.

Am I missing something or this is how it is supposed to be? One trailhead module

Maintain Your Platform Administrator Certification for Spring ’26 for all certifications I mentioned above?

Thanks in advance.

    Hi @Niraja Thakar

    Yes, this is expected.

For Spring ’26, Salesforce has a single maintenance module (Platform Administrator) that covers multiple certifications like Admin I/II, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud.

So, completing that one module is enough. All others redirect to it by design.

    For reference:

    Spring '26 Certification Maintenance

Hope this helps. Please mark as best if useful.

    Thanks,

    Deepak Sachdeva

Spring '25 Certification Maintenance Due Today

The deadline to complete Spring '25 maintenance is today! You must complete maintenance badges by end of day today, Friday, April 17, 2026, to remain certified on the following certifications:

  1. Salesforce Certified Platform Administrator
  2. Salesforce Certified B2C Commerce Developer
  3. Salesforce Certified CPQ Administrator
  4. Salesforce Certified CRM Analytics and Einstein Discovery Consultant
  5. Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Email Specialist
  6. Salesforce Certified MuleSoft Platform Integration Architect
  7. Salesforce Certified Slack Administrator

Completing these maintenance badges will also maintain the certifications that have the above certifications as prerequisites. Hi all, I just failed my Salesforce Admin Certification for the second time and now I have to wait until the new Spring release quiz after April 23, 2026. I’m wondering if anyone has been in this situation and how did you prepare to succeed on your third attempt…especially with my next attempt coming with a brand new releases of questions. Definitely down and feeling like I will never pass this cert, any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated! #Certifications #Salesforce Admin

Hello Trailblazers,

Has anyone taken the Sales Cloud certification lately?

In comparison to the Admin & BA cert, how easy or difficult is the Sales Cloud exam? I'm planning to take the certification in June, and any advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards,

Gayathri G.

oming from Admin and BA, you'll have a decent foundation, but Sales Cloud leans heavily into business scenarios - things like territory management, pipeline strategy, and Einstein features. The tricky part is less about memorizing clicks and more aboutunderstanding which solution fits a given sales context. Focus on use-case-based practice questions and you'll be in good shape. Most reliable revision guidance is Trailhead, focus on force and mentorship
