Hi all! I'm blind. My degree is in computer science and I still code on a hobby/freelance basis. But I ended up in tech sales. I need to get out of sales ASAP. I'm 48% done with "Build Your Admin Career on Salesforce" trail. Plan to complete "Beginner Admin" and "Intermediate Admin" trails after that. My question is Are there additional trails I should complete before sitting for the exam?

Also, my long-term plan is to start out as admin and then transition into Salesforce Developer since I already have pretty extensive programming knowledge. I feel like it should be a prety seamless transition once I master the platform from the admin side of things. If anyone here has notes or advice for planning a career trajectory from admin to developer, I'd also love to hear from you.

I am working on the Trailhead project on building a portfolio on experience site. 

I use the NVDA screen reader. I am not able to drag the rich content editor component to the column 1 position when editing a page. I have tried the mouse routing commands to drag and drop with NVDA but it is not working for me.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

As a Vvisually impared WFN I have a question about adding a product to an exsisting opportunity.  As I understand I shuld be going to the Relation tab and adding price book and products from there.  I only am seing 3 tabs activity, details and chatter am I missing someting here or do I need to add this tab and if so how is that done?  Appreciate your help and assistance in advance.

Hello I am a Trailblazer and I am hoping I can get some guidance in creating a dependent pick list using a screen reader.  I am typically a Fusion /JAWS user and have also tried using NVDA without success. The unit I am working on is Modify your Data Model | Trailhead Screen Reader Instructions the directions are as follows:

Setup>Object Manager>Opportunity>Fields & Relations  >field dependency button>New select stage as the controlling and delivery status as the dependency field.  Other than challenges finding Opportuniy in the list (this could be a user issue unfamiliar with NVDA) these parts go well.  The issue I am having is selecting the 4 variables initially I can see the variables I need to select after clicking on the header of the column I need all but one of the variablities become hidden and not selectable.

Here are my questions are there any suggestions on navigating this table of variabilities and prevent the table from condencing so allll options are still available.

I hope this is clear and someone has had this problem and has found a work around.  Thank you all for your assistance in advance.

I have the challenge of presenting to a client how people with low vision or blindness can use the Salesforce platform.

I found this article to be great guidance:

The challenge is for the hiring area (Human Resources), whose objective is to admit new employees, as well as dismiss other employees, all through the Partner Community (Login) where we will have the bots (Digital Engagement with the databases knowledge), in addition to document transition.

My doubt would be how JAWS, NVDA or VoiceOver would work in my case to read the screen and tell me where the fields are to attach documents and use the knowledge bases.

Does anyone have any suggestions or better direction for our solutions for this use case?

I am a JAWS screen reader user, and I passed my Admin certification in May, 2023. 

Though I had maintenance modules to complete in order to maintain my certification, my certification status on my profile never changed from "active," despite all information indicates it should have been showing "maintenance required."

Thankfully, I received an email informing me of the maintenance requirement and - most importantly - the deadline by which this must be completed.

I am not certain if this was just a profile issue or an accessibility issue - the correct status of "maintenance required" not being exposed to the screen reader. Either way, this could have been disastrous.

I busted my *** to earn this certification and would have been beyond angry to have lost it due to a Trailhead glitch or accessibility issue on the part of the "great equalizer."

Heads up screen reader users - don't trust your profile status.
